Membership

Herts Canoe Club is open to existing and experienced new members as well as beginners after completing our in house course.  

If you have some paddling experience then we will arrange for you to be assessed by one of our coaches and if they consider that you are an appropriate standard, then you will be able to join immediately. Please contact the club in advance (infohertscanoe@gmail.com) to arrange this.

Membership Fees 2025-2026 

Full year (Starting from 1st April). 

Adult £86.00

Junior £86.00 (under 18 on April 1st)

Junior Family £25.00pp (must be adult club member living at same address)

Concessions £50.00 (retired, unemployed, club coach or committee member)

Temporary membership £10.00 (covers up to three sessions)

Boat Storage £24.00 (per boat, subject to availability)

Half Year (October to March)

Adult / Junior £43.00

Junior Family £12.50pp

Concessions £25.00 (retired, or club coach)

Boat Storage £12.00 (per boat, subject to availability 

Equipment hire (only available to members)

Boat Hire £5.00 (per session)

Paddle, spray deck £0.50 (per item)

Buoyancy aid, helmet Free

N.B. Equipment hired for trips is charged in advance, and is payable for every day paddled on the trip.

To renew Membership

Starting with the April 2025 – March 2026 membership year, we are using Spond to administer membership of the Club: https://club.spond.com/landing/signup/hertscanoeclub/

Note you will need to enter a name, phone number and address of an emergency contact, and your Paddle UK membership number (if applicable).

The committee will help any members who have difficulty using Spond.

For those who would like to join the club for the first time, please contact us on infohertscanoe@gmail.com before signing up via Spond.

Payment

After signing up using Spond, a link for online card payment will be sent by the committee.

Subscriptions are payable annually by 1st April. By 30th April any member who has not paid the fee will be deemed to have left the club.
